Abstract

a new rotary mechanism of the DTH hammer is developed, which is the combination of the traditional DTH hammer and the rock drill. This new DTH hammer, driven only by an air compressor rather than a drill rig, can produce percussive and rotary movements. It provides an innovative process of increasing the drilling efficiency in China' s cur-tain engineering large-hole curtain engineering, hydraulic and hydropower engineering and trenchless engineering.
