Abstract

[Objective] The research aimed to study the biological characteristics and essential oil component of Ocimum basilicum L. in winter under conditions of different fill-in light. [Method] The Ocimum basilicum L. was covered with the film and fill light in winter, analyzed its changes of biomass and the content of essential oil at all growth process, and studied the effects of different fill-in light time on Ocimum basilicum L. at different growth stages. [Result] The results showed that fill-in light was conducive to increase the biomass of Ocimum basilicum L.. The fresh weight per plant of Ocimum basilicum L. up to 740 g and the content of essential oil decreased light by 0.08ml/100g FW under the condition of long fill-in light. [Conclusion] The study can provide the basis for optimizing the cultivating model of Ocimum basilicum L. in winter.
