Abstract
The slaughter performance and body size indicators of hybrid offspring of large meat duck and improved Liancheng white duck at 70 days of age were determined. The results showed that the live weight, carcass weight, semieviscerated weight, eviscerated weight,half-diving depth of male ducks were very significantly higher than those of femal ducks (P0.01)and leg muscle weight, body length and keel length of male ducks were significantly higher than those of female ducks(P0.05). Subcutaneous fat rate was affected by live weight, pelvic width,half-diving depth dive, and the correlation coefficient were 0.65,0.62 and 0.71,respectively,which showed significant positive correlation(P 0.05). This conclusion provided a certain theoretical reference to breeding subcutaneous fat rate through the measurement of live weight, pelvic width, and half-diving depth.
