Discussion on Zhang Dainian's New-"Qiology"

Zhang Dainian's philosophy is acknowledged New-Qiology in this article.The notable points of New-Qiology are to expatiate,understand and develop the traditional study of Qi(Qiology) in the light of dialectical materialism,which were discussed in three aspects in this article.First,it is stated that Zhang has a constant conviction for the thoughts of Qi and the direct relation between Qiology and dialectical materialism.Second,we discuss Zhang's unique interpretation of Qi and his theory's new light.Last,Zhang's contribution is summarized with emphasizing the fact that his New-Qiology not only provides us new model for Qi ontologism,but also leads us to the new way of Chinese traditional philosophy's modernization which is creatively combine Qi ontologism,dialectical materialism and logic.This new way has significance,with the reason that it is different form Mo Zongshan's theory which bears the tradition of Xinology and from Feng Youlan's theory which bears the tradition of Liology,so as to match for Neo-Confucianism and to provide traditional philosophy's modernization a new way other than mentalism.
