Abstract
Dimethyl carbonate(DMC)is a green organic intermediate, and the direct synthesis of which from CO2 has received wide scope of attention. This paper introduces a variety of catalysts for the direct synthesis of DMC from CO2 and CH3OH.The advantages and disadvantages of the catalysts are analyzed, and the reaction mechanisms are presented.Meanwhile, new technologies for the synthesis of DMC are introduced.Additionally, the trend of the direct synthesis from CO2 to DMC is discussed.
