Abstract

Two-line middle-season indica hybird rice Pei-liang-you 537 was drived from Photoperiod(Thermo-) sensitive genetic male sterile rice Pei-ai 64S and fine-quality middle-season rice E-Zhong No.5,and developed by the Institute of Food Crops,Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences.In the regional test of new middle-season rice varieties from 2005 to 2006 in Hubei,it owned characteristics of good grain quality,high and stable yield,wide adaptability and better application prospection.It was released by Hubei Crop Variety Authorization Committee in March,2007.The breeding process、characteristics and cultivation techniques were introduced.
