On the Preventive Maintenance Decision of Ship Based on Variable Cycle

The reliability of ship mechanical equipments will decrease for some extend after preventive maintenance.The preventive maintenance cycle should be changed correspondingly.Considering the influence of maintenance times to the cycle,a shipping preventive maintenance model based on the variable cycle was established.An example of variation of factors which influence the preventive maintenance cycle was given by using the Matlab numerical analyze.The results showed that the method proposed can reduce the equipment maintenance cost and heighten the economy benefit.
