Abstract

The limestone treatment technique was used to treat the secondary effluent from Donghedong WWTP in Baotou City. After neutralization, flocculation and clarification, the ammonia nitrogen, turbidity and so on are significantly reduced. The treated effluent quality reaches the design criteria, and the effluent can be reused as a complement source for recirculated cooling water and meet the production demand. There is a great prospect of the reuse of treated effluent in power plant.
