Abstract
Rosiglitazone can cure diabetes by activating peroxisome proliferator activated receptor(PPARγ) and then reducing the insulin resistance,increasing the sensitivity of peripheral tissue to issue,promoting function of beta cells,decreasing theblood sugar,improving the blood sugar,blood fat and blood pressure of type 2 diabetes,and reducing the genesis of cardiovascular diseases.This article reviewed the effect of rosiglitazone on cardiovascular diseases and related mechanisms in treating type 2 diabetes.
