Abstract

The effects of nitrogen nutrition on carbon assimilation and transfer and yield of wheat after anthesis in the field with high yield condition had been studied . The results showed that the application of adequate nitrogen promoted chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate of flag leaf after anthesis and the transfer of reserved carbohydrate in vegetative organs to the grain. It also increased soluble sugar content in wheat grain and the accumulation of starch in wheat grain and the grain weight and yield.
