Evolution of Innovation System and Cluster Innovation System Building

Abstract

As a special form of industrial organization, industrial cluster is specially characterized by its inherent innovation system by comparison to the behavior and process of a single firm's innovation. Relative to the national innovation system and firm's innovation system, industrial cluster's innovation system is concretely shown as the uniqueness of the components, structure and linkage pattern of the internal innovation system. Further, the uniqueness of the innovation system leads the industrial cluster to the quick development in the world. This paper tries to observe the historical evolution of the innovation system, and explores the concept, components, internal structure and linkage pattern of the components with the industrial cluster. It aims at building the new paradigm of the innovation system.
