Abstract
In all optical networks, as the kernel part of instruments used to accomplish all optical interchange, optical switch is being a focus of research in all optical communication.In this paper, We have introduced the application of optical switch in all optical networks,the basic working princple of both MEMS switch and thermo-optic switch and their technology development. Other kinds of optical switches are intruduced simply too.
