Modified B-Lynch Suture for Postpartum Hemorrhage in Cesarean Section

Objective To evaluate the effect of the modified B-Lynch surgical technique in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section.Methods Sixty-four patients with postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section were treated with the modified B-Lynch surgical technique(35 patients,treatment group) and the traditional technique(29 patients,control group),respectively.Operation time,hemorrhage volume and therapeutic efficacy between the two groups were compared.Results Compared with the control group,operation time and hemorrhage volume were decreased and therapeutic efficacy was enhanced in treatment group(P0.05 or P0.01).No patients required hysterectomy and no postoperative complication occurred in treatment group,and no obvious changes in uterine involution and postpartum menstruation were observed.Conclusion Modified B-Lynch suture is a safe and effective method to treat postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section.
