Abstract
A tentative study is carried out with thirteen full-size(2.4 m by 3—3.3 m) specimens of cold-formed steel stud composed wall subjected to shear loading.By test of the three types of wall under monotonic loading and cyclic-loading composed of single gypsum wallboard(GWB),single oriented strand board(OSB),double boards(GWB+OSB),and cold-formed steel C-section studs, the properties of shear load-carrying and seismic performances for the specimens are obtained.Experimental results show that the shear resistances of the single GWB composed walls are about 34%—37% that of the single OSB composed walls, and the shear resistance of the double boards(GWB+OSB) composed wall are about equal to the sum of the single GWB and the single OSB composed walls.
