Maxillary Sinus Floor Lifting in the Atrophic Maxilla for the Placement of Endosseous Implants

Abstract

Objective:To study the effect of maxillary sinus floor lifting by bone graft for implantation. Methods: Five maxillary underwent sinus floor bone graft simultaneously or delay 12 implants insertion. Maxillary sinus were observed the implant-bone interface immediatiately, 1, 3, 6, 12months after the surgery. Results: There were no implant loose or lost, no clinical complaint of the maxillary sinus area, and panoramic radiograph showed well osseointegration in 6 months postoperatively. Conclusion: Suceessful maxillary sinus floor bone graft with placement of implant is predictable.
