Abstract

Objective: To investigate the value of thin scan of Oblique Coronal and oblique sagital MR Images in visualization of the anterior cruciate ligment(ACL).Methods: Conventional axial, coronal and oblique sagital MR images were performed in 43 normal knees. Then thin scan of oblique coronal and oblique sagital images, which was parallel to ACL,based on conventional oblique sagittal images, were acquired. The visualization of ACL on thin scan of oblique coronal and oblique sagital, conventional oblique sagital images were analysed.Result: The visualization of the whole ACL was 100%(43/43) on one image of the thin scan of oblique coronal and oblique sagital,83.7%(36/43) on one image of the Conventional oblique sagital images.Concultion: The whole ACL can be showed on one image of thin scan of oblique coronal and oblique sagital MR Images, which is helpful in evaluation of the injure of ACL.Key wards: ligament;knee;MRI
