Abstract

The paper discusses geological characteristics of silver polymetallic deposit associated with Mesozoic continental volcanoes in sonth Henan,as well as the correlation of mineralization with the volcanic activities in respect of time, space and ore sources,on the view of regional geological background, ore zone geological characteristics, classic deposit study and stable isotopes. It also summarizes ore forming regularities in the ore zone. From the research the paper has proposed that the ore zone belongs to Ag、Pb、Zn、Au、Mo ore forming series associated with Yanshanian continental volcanoes or sub-volcanoes.Two ore prospecting targets for gold and silver polymetallic deposit on south margin of Shishankou crater and along Guimei fracture zone have been suggested on the basis of the above conclusion.
