Abstract
[Objective]To explore the bone mineral density(BMD) level of the healthy old and middle-aged women in Nanjing.[Methods] Dual energy X-ray bone mineral density detector was used to detect the bone mineral density of the lumbar side(L_(2~4)) of volunteers.[Results]The average bone mineral density of the 358 volunteers was 0.624 g/cm~2.The bone mineral density of the 7 groups divided according to the age(every 2 years in a group from 1944 to 1957) were 0.524,0.572,0.591,0.584,(0.60,) 0.649 and 0.718 respectively.[Conclusion]The bone mineral density of the old and middle-aged women has decreased significantly with the increase of age.
