Abstract
The laser melted AZ91D magnesium alloy cases were prepared with a 500 W pulse laser at different scanning speeds.The microstructure,microhardness,wear and corrosion resistances of laser melted cases were tested by XRD,SEM,and EDS.The results show that the laser melting may improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of AZ91D magnesium alloy,but the corrosion resistance will not be increased.In addition,the laser scanning speed has no considerable influence on the hardness of laser melted cases.
