Abstract

Objective To establish a whole brain radiation injury model and observe the expression of P35 and P25 in hippocampal neurons. Methods 120 rats were randomly divided into 0,10,20,30 Gy groups. The neurons of CA1 were detected by Nissl's staining.Hippocampus protein was extracted from these groups.Western blot was used to observe the expression of P35 and P25 in hippocampus. Results Compared with the 0 Gy group, the number of neurons in 10 Gy group showed no obvious change(P0.05).However,the number of neurons in 20 Gy and 30 Gy groups decreased obviously(P0.05).Compared with the 0 Gy group, the expression changes of P35 and P25 in 10 Gy group were not obvious(P0.05).The P35 expression decreased while P25 expression increased in 20 Gy and 30 Gy groups(P0.05).Conclusion The neural injury after radiation brain injury in hippocampus may be related with the expression changes of P35 and P25.
