Abstract

Objective To expore the clinical manifestation and magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) characteristics of vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia(VBD),and to improve the understanding of the VBD.Methods Clinical data of 128 cases of diagnosed VBD patients with magnetic resonance were retrospectively analyzed, the clinical manifestations and MRA characteristic were summarized. Results Clinical manifestations:①clinical manifestations of diversity, main show was 85cases of ischemic cerebrovascular disease;②the brain stem damage nerve compression symptoms of 27 cases;③10 cases of hemorrhagic cerebrovascular diseases;④6 cases hydrocephalus.MRA performance:vertebrobasilar arteries expand, shift and oppression brain stem.Basal artery 4.5 mm in diameter, the basal artery length 29.5 mm,lateral deviation from more than basal artery starting point to a fork in the vertical connections between 10 mm.Conclusion Clinical manifestation of VBD was various, majored with stroke, morbidity and mortality rate was high, magnetic resonance had important meaning in the early diagnosis and early treatment of VBD.
