Abstract
The research on China's ancient linguistics documents such as Dialect written by Yang Xiong in the Eastern Han Dynasty shows that there were many similarities between Nanchu dialects and Wuyue dialects (especially the Wu sub-dialects). This conclusion gets the strong support from ancient historical books and archaeological research results. It has the significance for studying the relation of historical level between Nanchu dialects and Wuyue dialects.
