Abstract
Varroa destructor is one of the ectoparasitic mites,highly-specialized parasites on adults and larvae of honey bee,feeds on host haemolymph.It is the most harmful pest of beekeeping in the world.A total of 25 Varroa mite samples were collected from Apis mellifera colonies in Argentina and subjected to the mitochondrial DNA CO1sequence or restriction enzyme analyses.All Varroa mite samples were identified as the Korean genotype of Varroa destructor.
