Chen Ran,leading writer featuring her female individual writing in the 20th century,regards the individual as her basis of creation,expressing women's unique feeling and experience of mind,by her isolated,desolate and desperate narration.Pondering loneliness and longing for fairness of death,she seeks the meaning of living.Isolation and death two themes grounded a far-reaching essence of her novels.
