Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to assess the vegetation coverage through Remote Sensing technology, which is one of the main assessment indicators of land quality after land reclamation. Methods employed include data extraction from vegetation coverage level by modeling with ERDAS IMAGINE software and the graded statistics analysis on the resulting imagines. The results indicated that the vegetation coverage after land reclamation is higher than before. It is concluded that assessed results conform to the actual situation, and the method of vegetation coverage assessment based on RS technology of vegetation coverage after land reclamation is feasible.
