Abstract
Based on 6 hybrids from 3 parents, the mid-parent hetrosis, over-parent heterosis, and competitive heterosis of 18 characters of palm fiber cotton, including growth period, plant height, fruiting branches number, total number of fruiting node, vegetative branches number, number of bolls on vegetative branches, per mu boll number, weight of single boll, lint percentage, per mu seed cotton yield, lint yield per plant, 2.5% span length, uniformity, fiber strength, elongation, micronaire value were analyzed. And a hybrid cotton variety with high yield and good fiber quality was bred.
