Abstract

The enhancement of dissolved oxygen for electrochemiluminescence (ECL) behavior of luminol in neutral aqueous solution was studied in this paper. It was obviously revealed that the electrical parameters and some other factors had influence on the enhancement of dissolved oxygen for ECL of luminol. Using an electrode pretreated, in 0.15 mol·L-1 KNO3 -boric acid buffer ( pH = 7), the optimal enhanced ECL signal of luminol was obtained, excited by the positive rectangular pulse with the amplitude from - 0.4 V to 0.9V (vs. Ag). The linear response range was from 0 to 16 mg·L-1 and the relative standard deviation was 0.4% . The mechanism of the enhancement and the effect of the surfactant were also studied.
