Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation of Fas/FasL,bcl-2, caspase-8 in paeonol(Pae) inhibiting proliferation of HT-29 cells and inducing its apoptosis and the possible molecule mechanism. Methods The morphologiy of apoptosis on HT-29 cells were observed by transmission electron microscopy, The expression of apoptosis associated proteins Fas/FasL、bcl-2、caspase-8 was measured by immunocytochemical staining. Results Typical apoptosis morphology of HT-29 cells was observed by transmission electron microscopy after treated by Pae, Immunocytochemical staining showed that the expression of Fas/FasL, caspase-8 proteins was increased significantly while the expression of bcl-2 protein was decreased on HT-29 cells after treated by Pae. Conclusion Pae may inhibit HT-29 cells proliferation and induce its apoptosis. The possible mechanism is up-regulation the expression of Fas/FasL, caspase-8 and down-regulation the expression of bcl-2 protein.
