Abstract

In Sui and Tang dynasties, while competing, three religions-Confucianism,Buddhism,and Taoism-learned from each other, which provided new impetus and concepts for the innovation of Confucianism. The resurrection of Confucian orthodoxy and the Nature of Mind Theory on the basis of the tapping of traditional Confucianism resources foreshadowed the rise of the Confucianism. All these indicated that the drive of the Confucianism lied in not only the repelling but also the absorbing of the Buddhism and Taoism.
