An Analysis of Regional Climate Characteristics of Balikun County During 1961-2010

The variation characteristics of the air temperature, precipitation, sunshine and strong wind during the past 50 years were analyzed using the meteorological data of the Balikun county station during 1961-2010. The results showed that the air temperatures in the winter and the summer as well as the annual average air temperature in Balikun county all showed a trend of increasing. During 1980s-1990s the air temperature increase during the winter was stronger than that during the summer. Entering the 21st century, the air temperature increase during the summer was most significant. Overall,the average air temperature increase during the summer was stronger than that during the winter. The precipitation distribution between different years was not even and the precipitation mainly concentrated in the summer. The overall trend of the annual precipitation was on the increase and the precipitation after 1990s increased significantly but it was still drought relatively. The sunshine duration was on the decrease due to the human factors, especially after 1980s the trend of the decrease was significant relatively. Overall the windy days were on the decrease.
