Abstract

Objective:To know the contamination and distribution of food-borne pathogens in 8 kinds of food in Jiangsu Province for providing the basis for prevention and control of food-borne diseases. Methods:According to the standard operation procedure of the national surveillance on food-borne pathogens,757 food samples were detected to see if Salmonella,Listeria monocytogens,Vibrio parahaemolyticus,Staphylococcus aureus,Campylobacter jejuni,Escherichia coli O157 and Enterobacter sakazakii were positive.Results:118 bacteria strains were separated from 757 food samples, the overall positive rate was 15.59%(118/757).The positive rate of Vibrio parahaemolyticus was the highest(13.46%),then Staphylococcus aureus(6.95%),Listeria monocytogens(6.56%) and Salmonella(6.06%),Campylobacter jejuni and Escherichia coli O157 were not found. In the 8 kinds of food samples, raw meat and aquatic products were highly contaminated, positive rate 32.61% and 29.49% respectively. Conclusion:There was food contamination by pathogens in Jiangsu province.Raw meat were mainly polluted by Listeria monocytogens and Salmonella, aquatic products by Vibrio parahaemolyticus, both of them were high-risk food.
