Abstract
The parnassians' vertical distribution of Si-Da-Long forest-pastoral areas in Qilianshan Mts. (northern slope) is comparatively clear. Except ice-snow zone, alpine sub-ice-snow rare vegetation zone has 3 species, subalpine scrub-meadow zone has 6, mountain forest-steppe zone has 3, mountain steppe zone has 2. The subalpine scrub-meadow zone is the most concentrated vegetation zone for the distribution of parnassians, its climate, vegetation and altitude are wonderful for parnassians to survive and develop. The study of parnassians biodiversity in different vegetation zones[Si-Da-Long forest-pastoral areas in Qilianshan Mts.(northern slope)] illustrated that the species richness decreased in the following sequence: Subalpine scrub-meadow zone(6 sp.) alpine sub-ice-snow vegetation zone =mountain forest-steppe zone (3 sp.) mountain steppe zone (2 sp.) ice-snow zone(0 sp.). The parnassians' biodiversity index decreased in-subalpine scrub-meadow zone(0.785 8) alpine sub-ice-snow vegetation zone(0.606 3) mountain forest-steppe zone (0.112 4) mountain steppe zone ((0.024 3)) ice snow zone(0 ) . The parnassians' species composition between mountain steppe zone and mountain forest-steppe zone had the highest similarity (Jaccard index=0.667). There is no same species in five vegetation zones.
