Abstract

The Shuiyindong super-large gold deposit occurred in the arsenian pyrite zone which grown around the euhedral and semi-euhedral sedimentary pyrite core.Recently, over 100 micron-submicron sized gold particles(0.1~6μm) have been observed in arsenic-bearing pyrite veinlets in the primary ore carbonate type ore) in the Shuiyindong deposit. On the basis of the studies on the gold occurrence state of the primary ore and the tailing,it is suspected that a small part of gold could be lost in the grinding process and the cost of oxidizing gold-bearing arsenian pyrite by NaOH could be much higher than it should be due to the over oxidation of pyrite because the ordinary ore was grinded to less than 325 mesh in size.
