Abstract

Two racemic compounds, benzoin and metalaxyl, were resolved by normal phase HPLC on self-synthetic cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) chiral stationary phase. The effects of different mobile phase compositions and the temperature of column on the retention, separation and resolution in the chiral separation of benzoin and metalaxyl were investigated. Moreover, the separation of the two racemic compounds under reversed HPLC was also studied.
