Abstract
Objective:To measure endothelin-1 in patients with acute cerebral infarction and study the relationship between endothelin-1 and cerebral infarction. Methods: We have measured endothelin-l in 57cases with acute cerebral infarction, and have made control study with 30 healthy people. Results: There is a significant difference between the two groups (U=13.45, P0.01),and ET-1 is also found related to hypertension, hyperlipemia and diabetes. Conclusion: Endothelin is one of the risk factors of cerbral infarction.Increase of endothelin-1 in plasma is associated with cerebral infarction, and seems to be involved in the pathophysiology of acute cerebral infarction.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
