Abstract
Objective To study the mechanism of carbepenems resistance in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Methods Using SDS-PAGE of outer membranes, scanning densimeter and three-dimentional test to study the relative amounts of OprD2 and β-Lactamases both in imipenem-resistant isolates and imipenem-susceptible isolates. Results The amounts of OprD2 in resistant isolates were significantly lower than those of susceptible isolates, and the activities of AmpC enzymes were higher than those of susceptible isolates. Conclusion Both the reduction of OprD2 and the increase of AmpC enzymes were primary elements in imipenem-resistance Pseudomonas aeruginosa in our hospital.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
