Survey on Internet Addiction and Mental Health Condition on Middle School Students in Weihai Shandong

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the internet addiction and mental health condition on middle school students in Weihai.Methods:832 middle school students were drawn with cluster sampling,and assessed with self-made general questionnaire,Internet Addiction questionnaire,and MHT.Results: 7.3% of the students were considered with internet addiction,and the rate of internet addiction is higher in male than that in female;7.8% of the students got the score higher than 65 in MHT.Conclusions: The health condition of the middle school students is not well,espacilly those with internet addiction need positive intervention.
