Abstract
Interaction of pile-soil-pile is an important problem in the theory of composite foundation.Three model experiments were conducted with analog simulation experiment system of urban underground engineering in China University of Mining Technology,Beijing campus. The differences in stress fields and settlement fields between the single pile composite foundation and pile group composite foundation were studied. Results show that pile-soil stress ratio, pile negative skin friction and settlement in pile group composite foundation are higher than single pile composite foundation, pile positive skin friction is less than single pile composite foundation, differential settlement exists in pile group composite foundation. The conclusions may be useful for further theoretical studies and practical design.12figs.,3tabs.,10refs.
