Abstract
Somatic embryogenesis is a very popular phenomenon in plant tissue culture.The recent progress in the way and origin of somatic embryogenesis was introduced.The changes of carbohydrate,protein and nucleic acid in somatic embryogenesis,the change of endogenous hormone and the action of exogenous hormone were reviewed.
