VALUE OF MULTI-SLICE SPIRAL CT IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF ACUTE PULMONARY ARTERY EMBOLISM

Abstract

Objective To assess the value of multi-slice CT in the diagnosis of pulmonary artery embolism.MethodsData of 40 patients with pulmonary artery embolism were retrospectively analyzed by using varied after-treatment techniques.Results Pulmonary artery embolism and embolus were clearly displayed in cross-section CT pictures with MPR,CPR,and MIP.Conclusion Multi-slice CT can clearly show the position and morphology of embolus in pulmonary artery,which provides a higher value in the diagnosis of pulmonary artery embolism.
