For a long time, many scholars in academic circle have held that Laozi had a negative and rejective thought towards and With discovery of Bamboo Strips at Guo Di-an, however, more scholars come to reconsider Laozi's genuine standpoint towards thought humanity and morality This paper believes that from content and wording of abridged version and differences from ancient book copied on sick as well as from Laozi's whole ideological system and background of his age, a reasonable conclusion can be reached that Laozi held neither a completely negative nor a absolutely positive opinion towards humanity and morality. Actually he regarded it as a forced means for administration of abnormal society after loss of . And meanwhile, he strongly advocated principle of the Ancient Model Morality to realize ideal society.
