Analysis of Comprehensive Sex Education and Abstinence-only Sex Education in Modern U.S.

Abstract

From the mid of 20th.century,sex education for adolescents has obtained much attention.U.S. is one of the pioneers to have sex education for adolescents,and there exists several kinds of sex education programs promoted by different communities,amongst comprehensive sex education and abstinence-only sex education are two representative programs.This paper explores different value systems behind comprehensive sex education and abstinence-only sex education through analysis of their different curricula and contents.
