Lung Cancer with Superior Vena Cava Syndrome of 32 Cases

Abstract

Objective To discuss the treatment of Lung Cancer induced SVCS.Methods 32 cases of such patients were observed.Among them,25 cases were treated with chemotherapy,3 cases radiotherapy and 4 case adopted comprehensive treatment.Results It takes 2 to 21 days to relieve symptoms.CR was 15.6%,PR was 59.4%,NC was 15.6% and PD was 9.4%.Total efficient was 75%,Symptoms was relieved by chemotherapy for 4 cases and radiotherapy for 3 cases.Conclusion It makes SVCS tumor decreased rapidly by chemotherapy and radiotherapy,pressure symptoms disappeared fast,the effect was good.The method might be one of the best treatment for SVCS.
