The Clinical Significance of Serum CYFRA21-1,Ferritin and Ferrum Levels in the Aged Patients with Lung Cancer

Abstract

To investigate the serum CYFRA21 1,Ferritin (SF) and Ferrum (Fe) levels in patients with lung cancer and the clinical significance was evaluated.The serum CYFRA21 1,SF and Fe levels were measured in 30 aged patients with non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) by radioimmunoassay (RIA).The results were compared with that in control group.The serum CYFRA21 1 and SF levels in patients with lung cancer were significantly higher than those in normal controls.The serum Fe level was significantly lower than that in controls (P0 01).The serum SF level was related to metastasis of lung cancer and the serum Fe level was related to prognosis.[Conclusions]CYFRA21 1 may serve as a tumor marker in NSCLC.Combination measurement of the serum CYFRA21 1,Ferritin and Ferrum is of great significance in prognosis evaluation and early detection of tumor metastasis.
