Abstract
Objective To investigate the different of dry eye after sub-Bowman keratomile-usis(SBK) and laser in situ Keratomileusis(LASIK) for myopia. Methods Nine hundreds and seventy-six patients(976eyes) with myopia were enrolled and divided into two groups,560 patients(eyes) received SBK,and 416 patients(eyes) performed LASIK.The naked vision,refraction,fl-uorescein staining(FS),tear break-up times(BUT),SchirmerⅠtest(SIt) values and subjective sym-ptoms of dry eye were recorded in the first week, the first month and the third month after surg-ery were compared and analyzed. Results At 1st week,1st month,3rd months after surgery, the difference of naked visual acuity and diploma were not statistically significant between two groups(P=0.513,P=0.436).At 1st month,3rd months after surgery,FS in SBK group was better than that in LASIK group, the difference was statistically significant(P=0.039,0.012).At 1st week,1st month after surgery,BUT in SBK group was better than that in LASIK group, the difference was statistically significant(P=0.016,0.042).Not only preoperative and after operation but also between two groups, the difference of SIt were not statistically significant always(P0.05).To compare the subjective symptoms of dry eye, foreign body feeling and asthenopia in SBK groupwas better than that in LASIK group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05) at 1st month,3rd months after surgery. At anytime poin ts after operation, dryness of eye were not atistically significant between two groups(P0.05).Conclusions SBK is a safety and efficacy treatment In all surgeries for myopia. It has a faster recovery of dry eye than LASIK.
