Probe into the Issue of Profit Index for Railway Passenger Transport

Operation profit is the main index for railway passenger transport.It is the direct proportion to passenger transport income and is the inverse proportion to passenger transport cost.By analyzing the major factors that effect to the index of passenger transport profit,this paper points out that the establishment of train dispatching plan shall consider comprehensively the influence of passenger demands and passenger volume to ticket income as well as the cost of train configuration and train dispatching to choose the plan with maximum balance benefit.In the meanwhile,it needs to put efforts on passenger transport marketing and improve passenger service in order to maximize the profit of passenger transport.
