Abstract

That some state-owned enterprises are commerce-oriented while others are not is the existing state of affairs in our country,which is determined by the nature of socialism.As the reform for marketization is under way in our country,state-owned enterprises must face up to the market and participate in competition so as to become genuine subjects of market economy.Therefore,quite a few of state-owned enterprises are bound to be profit-oriented and become commercial.Meanwhile,great efforts should be made in the future to develop state-owned enterprises in our country into non-commercial enterprises similar to public enterprises in the West.Of the state-owned enterprises in our country,those competitive enterprises are subjects of commercial activities in the context of market economy while the uncompetitive ones are non-commercial.
