Abstract

The monitoring and questionnaire method is first used in four households at Xiamen to investigate the room air temperature and resident's behaviors during the air conditioners are operating in summer.Then the air temperature when air-conditioner is just operated,simultaneous utilizing of air-conditioners,indoor resident number and their actions are statistically analyzed.The results show that,in Xiamen,household often has 1 mobile fan and 2~3 air-conditioners;air-conditioners are always installed in living room and bed room,usually operated when indoor air temperature is high than 28℃.When indoor air temperature is lower than 28 ℃,natural ventilation can be used to achieve indoor thermal comfort;when indoor air temperature is between 28~30℃,the natural ventilation can be used to achieve indoor thermal acceptable;Air-conditioner in living room generally used during the day and evening;Air-conditioner in master bedroom and second bedroom generally used for lunch break rest and sleeping at night;There exist simultaneous utilizing between air-conditioners in the living room,master bedroom and second bedroom;It is appropriate to take into account the simultaneous coefficient of air-conditioners and set the residents of 4,2 and 1 respectively for living room,master bedroom,and second bedroom during simulating of air-conditioning energy consumption.
