Abstract

In this paper the theory and structure of Rake receiver are analyzed in detail, which is based on the IR-UWB signal under multipath.Different Rake receivers are simulated, including P-Rake(Part-Rake) and S-Rake(selective Rake). The simulation results show that S-Rake has a 3dB gain more than the P-Rake with the same number of receive fingers. And the receive can be significantly improved with more receive fingers under the same theory of receiving. The S-Rake with 2 fingers and P-Rake with 5 fingers has almost the same performance in low SNR.
