Abstract
Simulation was performed on polymer melt in the mixing section of a series disc extruder by Polyflow software.Mixing index and segregation scale were statistically obtained, which were used to describe the influence of technological parameters( speed and feeding rate) on the mixing performance of the series disc extruder. It was found that the dispersive and distributive mixing performance of the series disc extruder increased with increasing speed, dispersive mixing performance of the series disc extruder decreased with increasing feeding rate. But the feeding rate had little influence on distributive mixing performance of the series disc extruder.
